2010 Nesting Success Summary | 2011 Nesting Success Summary | 2012 Nesting Success Summary

From March 15th until mid- July the ladder is a permanent fixture on my Subaru. This was taken in Avon at Fisher Meadow.   This is Mike O'Leary with a newly banded male at the Grant Farm in East Windsor. Mike is a tireless volunteer who works all over CT assisting in various banding projects. I really appreciate his offer to band our kestrels. He's always there when you need him.
This is what you DON'T want to see when you open up the box...starling eggs. Notice the wood shavings have been replaced by very coarse grass nesting material.   Hey Ma.........that's a long way down!!!
